DIY Workshop: Pointing Brickwork for Beginners

  • Climate Hub 32 Turney Street Nottingham, NG2 2LG United Kingdom (map)

Sign up for this free practical workshop that will give you hands on experience from industry professionals on everything you need to know to get started with pointing.

In this introductory pointing workshop, you will have the opportunity to work with experts and observe live demonstrations before practicing how to apply mortar to brickwork yourself! You will learn the importance of pointing to protect the bricks of your property. As well as being effective for general maintenance and protecting the overall quality of the brickwork, pointing also provides an extra barrier against moisture getting into your home.

The workshop is intended to enable residents to learn all the guidance and techniques you need to know to confidently take on pointing in your own home. If you want to maintain the brickwork on your property, this experience is ideal for understanding the requirements of pointing as you work in a real-life setting.

These workshops are set in small groups to allow learning from professionals and asking any questions you might have.

Free to attend. Materials, tools, and PPE will be provided.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear that you don’t mind getting messy.

This event is exclusively for residents from Meadows, Nottingham, UK.

Wondering if this is right for you? If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with us by emailing admin@greenmeadows.uk or call 0115 718 2028, and we would be happy to advise.
