Future-Fit Home Energy Plan

Do you live in the new Meadows?

If so, you might be eligible for a FREE Future Fit survey!

The Future-Fit Home Plan is a FREE tailored plan designed to help you reduce your energy bills and decrease your carbon emissions. The plan will assess whether renewable and low-carbon heating systems are a good fit for your home, as well as explain how to make your home fit for the future.

Help us secure grant funding!

We need to reach specific house types - view them all here.

By receiving a survey, you could be contributing to the Meadows Energy Audit - a Meadows-wide survey, collecting data on different types of houses to better understand how energy is used and lost and where it could be saved.

The aim of the audit is to try and secure future grant funding to make Meadows homes more efficient, comfortable & cheaper to heat.

We have just a few house types to go until the audit is complete! Find out more below.

What’s in it for you?

How does the survey work?

1) Book your free home survey at a time to suit you.

2) Our surveyor will visit your home to carry out a full assessment.

3) We put together a personalised Future-Fit Home Plan - a step-by-step plan full of the information you need to make energy saving changes to your home.

4) We will deliver your home plan in-person and discuss the options for putting your plan into action.

What will be in my Future-Fit Plan?

  • We will identify free or low-cost actions and simple DIY jobs which will reduce how much energy you use in your home.

  • We’ll start by recommending “fabric” measures, which means making sure that as little energy as possible is lost through the “fabric” of your home - i.e walls, floors and roof. This is usually done through insulating and draughtproofing.

Next, we move on to the heating system. Keep reading below..

  • Once you’ve made sure that your home is losing as little heat as possible, it is time to take a look at your heating system. We will consider what is the most efficient way to heat your home, and at what stage it is worth replacing your current system.

  • After reducing how much energy your home uses, we can consider whether your home may be suitable for renewable technologies such as solar panels.

How does a Future-Fit Plan differ to an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)?

  • A Future-Fit plan is tailored to your home. The recommendations are generated by real human beings who know their stuff, rather than automated computer systems.

  • It is a step-by-step plan, which considers the best order in which to make improvements, and how to pair energy saving measures with routine maintenance jobs.

  • Our assessments and modelling are far more in depth than those used for an EPC, so we can give you a more realistic idea of how much energy you will save.
