Eat & Learn: Cook-in-a-Box

  • Climate Hub 32 Turney Street Nottingham, England, NG2 2LG United Kingdom (map)

Thinking of ways to cut back energy costs this winter? Make a Cook-in-a-Box!

A Cook-in-a-Box is an insulated box made with easy-to-find household items. In this workshop, we will learn more about the science of this method of cooking and make your own to take home.

Lunch will be included, cooked in the box, of course!

Since the last workshop earlier this year, many Meadows residents have already started using theirs regularly.

The benefits?

  • Save hours of stovetop energy

  • Cut fuel costs

  • Get away from the kitchen. It's a safe way to leave a pot simmering for hours without supervision! Take a nice walk or meet a friend instead.

This workshop is hosted by the amazing Tiger Community Enterprise CIC in partnership with the University of Nottingham.
