After the huge interest shown at the Foraging stall at the Green Meadows Festival, Lucy Buckle (The Nottingham Forager) is coming back to Green Meadows to give some more Spring and Autumn Workshops.

Workshop 1 - 10:30 - 12:00 - Introduction to Spring Foraging (Classroom Session)
Based in the NEP Hub
Join Lucy, aka The Nottingham Forager for an introduction to the wild food growing in your local area. This classroom based session will give you the knowledge and the confidence to start foraging wild food for yourselves.
Learn about a variety of different species and how to safely, sustainably and legally identify them.
Bring a mug with you if you fancy trying a foragers brew!
Suitable for all ages and abilities, foraging is for everyone.
Workshop 2 - 14:00 - 15:30 - Introduction to Spring Foraging (Outdoor session)
Outdoor walk
Join Lucy, aka The Nottingham Forager for an interactive and hands on foraging experience.
We begin this session indoors at (The Green Meadows Hub) for a quick introduction and then head out on a walk in the surrounding areas on the hunt for wild food.
During our time we will look at a variety of species and learn how to safely, sustainably and legally harvest them.
Make sure you bring a bag, basket or tub for your foraged finds.
The walk itself will be around 1.5 hours at a steady pace with some uneven terrain. Suitable for all ages, small children may need to be carried at points. Those with mobility issues, please get in touch to discuss prior to booking.

There is restricted on-street vehicle parking by the NEP Hub, limited to two hours. Please be aware there is residential permit holder parking in place in the area. Therefore, we recommend either walking or cycling to the Hub. If you are travelling from further afield, there are the following options using public transport, or park and rides:

The nearest bus stops are on London Road (Trent Bridge Victoria Embankment stops) and are served by the following bus routes:
The Navy Line (including 1A, B, E, 3, 3A, 4 and N4),
The Green Lines 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (including 9B), 10 (including 10C, X), 11 (including 11A, C).
The Kinchbus 9
Plus bus routes 19, 33, 90 (90A), 92, COT the cotgrave, KC the keyworth, RM mainline and RV1 rushcliffe villager.
The closest tram stop is Meadows Embankment on the tram line to Clifton South. It is an 0.7 mile walk along Bathley Street to the NEP Hub.
Nottingham Train Station is a just a one mile walk along Arkwright Walk to the NEP Hub.
