Upcycling for Everyone - A research workshop (funded by De Montfort University, in association with Green Meadows)
Join us for an exciting in-person event where we delve into the world of upcycling and contribute to upcycling research! This workshop is part of De Montfort University's (DMU) participatory upcycling research entitled, ‘Upcycling for Everyone’ (https://upcycling4everyone.our.dmu.ac.uk/).
The workshop (approximately 1.5 hours) includes:
A short introduction and pairing of participants
Playing a matching game related to upcycling research
Share your opinions on ideal upcycling events
Benefits of the workshop:
Enjoy free coffee, tea and some snacks
Meet other people with the same hobbies
This is an opportunity for people who enjoy DIY activities to learn more about upcycling, recycling, refurbishing, remanufacturing, repairing, etc.
This workshop aims to further our knowledge of how to get everyone involved in upcycling at the household level in the UK, and to test art and design-based interventions (i.e., community events) to promote upcycling behaviour, which could have a significant positive impact on the environment and society.
Your participation will go a long way in research to promote upcycling and environmental awareness for all!
