Introduction to DIY Future-Fit Skills - Wed 30th November (Online)

We believe everyone should be able to learn and understand more about their home and their energy.

This workshop is a first step for anyone interested in attending the Future-Fit skills workshops to make energy saving measures at home. It is also open to anyone who wants to learn something new about homes and buildings. If this sounds like you, come along!

Outline

○ Introduction to the Green Meadows project, Nottingham Energy Partnership and the Future-Fit skills process.

○ A brief introduction to:

  • building performance

  • cold homes

  • the overlap between energy efficiency and fuel poverty and health, and

  • the current fuel-cost crisis.

○ A look at house-types within the Meadows. How they were designed vs how they are used today.

○ Introduction to Whole House Planning: How can we make these houses perform better?

'Introduction to DIY Future-Fit skills' is part of the Green Meadows Future-fit skills workshops.
